Alternative Energy Novel

Today's post is about Marc Bauer's novel Alternative Energy.

When Marc’s mother saw “Alternative Energy” for the first time, she asked him what his picture was doing on somebody else’s book.

That’s pretty much the reaction he got from friends and family when the book was launched in January 2012. Fear and apprehension had kept his writing under the radar from everyone except his wife.

Alternative Energy is the first novel from Alberta’s own “Young Alternative” author Marc Bauer a coming of age novel based on real life experience. Follow along with the life and trials of Brandon Baker. A young man growing up in the energy rich province of Alberta Canada where the only goal he knows is to make it big in the oil and gas industry. Opening the door from the comforts of his hometown Brandon’s eyes are opened to life beyond his borders. Life in the fast lane proves truly blinding as Brandon faces trials with the dark politics of the oil business, sex, drugs, love and death till one morning wasted and beaten he wakes up searching for salvation on the winds of a foreign land. Will he return to what he has worked so hard to build or will he leave it all behind?
