Today's blog is about my failure with my invention.

Well I completed the circuit to drive the FET transistor and the primary coil of my tesla coil. It did not work the way that I expected it to. The transistor turned on and stayed in the on position. I have to get an oscilloscope to test the output of the 555 IC circuit as well as the output of the transistor. The transistor could be at such a high rate that it seems to be on all the time.

I am going to reinstall the relay oscillator to trigger the transistor. I know that that system works. The problem with this system is that the contacts of the relay eventually fail causing the whole system to stop operating. This I know for a fact, I used a relay running as a tesla switch for a little over a month, operating 24/7, to charge up the coach batteries in my motorhome. The system worked reasonably well for the  month and kept a partial charge in my batteries, that is until the relay failed.

This is the reason that I am pursing a solid state system, one that I do not have to worry about relay contract failure.

Does anyone out in cyber space have any ideas how as to proceed from here?

I know that there are people from all over the world reading this blog but so far nobody has commented or given any suggestions.

I would like to post your ideas and things that are happening in your countries. This blog is not just for myself but for all of you. Those of you who want to learn about alternative energy as well as those of you who are already working on something in your own  country.

Let us all work together to produce a alternative energy source that will help the world.
